about us

The Humanitarian Centre aims to maximise the impact Cambridge has on alleviating global poverty and inequality. We do this by bringing together an active community of individuals and organisations engaged in international relief and development work. The centre provides networking opportunities, topical events, training courses, and practical support. By connecting this pool of local expertise, we increase the potential for global change.

Participation in the Humanitarian Centre is open to individuals and organisations in the Cambridge area that focus on international relief or development activities, and abide by the Red Cross Code of Conduct.

Click here to read recent news stories from around the Cambridge humanitarian community. Our Summer 2010 newsletter is now available in electronic copy or in hard copy from the office.

There are many ways to get involved in local international relief and development initiatives - start by visiting the volunteer opportunities webpage, or visit our member websites down the side of the page.
